Circa 1880 Engraved facsimile sheets of 32 impressions in both red and blue, 8x4, comprising left and right identical halves in se-tenant rows of eight, the top stamps are 1847 1d "Post Office," the second and third rows 1848-59 1d "Post Paid" early and late impressions, and the bottom row the 1859 Sherwin re-engraved 2d, the four engravings in each row were produced by a single die, but then retouched to produce differences in the portrait, background shading and corner ornaments and are printed on thick "blotting" paper, these are proofs of the SENF typographed facsimiles which were presented to readers of the Illustriertes Briefmarken Journal, (see Ibbotson page 139), extremely fine; a rare and eye-catching duo.
