1870 (circa) Murray Steam Navigation Company ½d black, 1d red, 2d blue (no gum) & 3d green (a "jumbo" stamp), a few short perfs, large-part original gum. One of the finest sets we have seen. Ex 'Dubois' (I), acquired at our auction of 5.9.2009 for $5125, sold for SFr1035. Other sets of lesser quality sold at our auctions of 17.8.2012 and 31.8.2019 for $3030 and $3355 respectively. [Geoff Kellow at page 340 states "The stamps are quite rare, with possibly not more than two dozen sets being recorded"] (4)
