5/- grey & yellow with Kangaroo Misplaced Upwards into Joseph Bonaparte Gulf and the Gulf of Carpentaria ACSC 43Aca (SG 30 unlisted variety), characteristic fluffy perfs, Sydney cds of -4OC17 well clear of the variety, Cat $7500 (£350+, for normal). The ACSC records only one example (also used) with a 3½mm misplacement out of the map to the left into the Timor Sea. Another example with similar misplacement to that illustrated by the ACSC sold at our auction of 28.2.2023 for $2400. This example with a slightly different misplacement is apparently only the third recorded.

PUNCTURED 'OS': 2/- brown ACSC 36ba (SG O36), small hinge remainder, Cat $5000 (£1900). The PCNZA have, unusually, declined to issue a certificate. The expertisers believe the puncture is genuine but one of the key measurements is aberrant. The stamp must therefore be offered "as is".
