Symbol:*
Mint selection comprising 2d, 2½d, 6d Die x2, 9d x2, 1/- x2 one appears to be in the deep dull green shade, 2/- (a couple of minor bends & small hinge remainder) and 5/- Watermark Inverted (light toning on the upper perf tips), centring & condition a little variable but most are fine to very fine, Cat $7000+ (£3500+).
(10)
6d ultramarine ACSC 18 (SG 26) marginal block of 4 from the lower-right of the left-hand pane with full central gutter, very well centred, the upper units each with a tiny tone speck, one lower unit with a little gum crazing, all units unmounted, Cat $9000+ for singles (£900+ for mounted).
9d violet with the Watermark Inverted ACSC 25a (SG 27w), very well centred, light 1917 telegraph datestamp in violet, Cat $2500 (£1800) for postally used. Superb. [In a footnote, the ACSC states a price of $2500 for fiscal usage. This is an error. In the previous edition, this stamp was priced at $5000 for postal usage & $2500 for fiscal usage (which has been carried forward). This stamp is visually superior to the superb example sold at our Online Auction #7 for $868]
9d violet with the Watermark Inverted ACSC 25a (SG 27w), well centred, '[ROMA ?] STREET/BRISBANE' postal cds, Cat $2500 (£1800). [The current ACSC states that "two dozen used examples are known...about half have non-postal markings". In the previous edition, this stamp postally used was priced at $5000, and $2500 for telegraph/fiscal usages. In the current edition, the postal price has been halved (as it needed to be) but the non-postals are still priced at $2500, an obvious error]
PUNCTURED 'OS': 2d to 5/- all with cds cancels, variable centring but the 9d 2/- & 5/- are all very well centred (which is most unusual for the 9d & 2/-), a few minor defects, Cat $2000+ (£725+). [It is generally accepted that the 2½d was not punctured 'OS']

PUNCTURED 'OS': 9d violet ACSC 25ba (SG O34) with Break in Left Frame South West of WA Pos [2L41], exceptionally well-centred, small hinge remainder, Cat $2250 plus a premium for the variety (£950+). PCNZA Certificate (2023).
PUNCTURED 'OS': 2/- brown ACSC 36ba (SG O36), small hinge remainder, Cat $5000 (£1900). The PCNZA have, unusually, declined to issue a certificate. The expertisers believe the puncture is genuine but one of the key measurements is aberrant. The stamp must therefore be offered "as is".
