½d emerald with Cracked Electro through 'P' of 'POSTAGE' to Oval in front of King's Beard (Intermediate State) [Pos 2R35] ACSC 63(2)o (SG 20 unlisted variety; not the 20e crack), Victoria machine cancel just clear of the variety, Cat $1900. The crack now fully joins the two ovals in the front of the King's beard.
½d emerald Comb Perf Electro 2 with Cracked Electro from 'A' of 'AUSTRALIA' through Oval in front of King's Face to '2' in Left Value Tablet (Advanced State) [Pos 2R47] ACSC 63(2)q (SG 20 unlisted variety; not the 20e crack), Launcerston '-4MY16' cds cancel largely clear of the variety, Cat $1900. Andrew Johnston's similar item sold at our auction of 19.9.2023 for $456.
½d green with Notch in Right Frame opposite Emu's Feet [Pos 3L16] ACSC 63(3)e being the upper unit in a vertical pair, the lower unit with Oval Colour Spot in Third Wattle at Left [Pos 3L22] plus Kangaroo 3d olive all tied by 'WOOMBYE/24AP16/QUEENSLAND' cds largely clear of the varieties, to cover to Brisbane with red & black/white R label alongside, small edge faults at top not affecting the stamps & light aging marks, Cat $400+ for the listed variety used only (unpriced on cover) plus premiums for the unlisted variety and on-cover usage. The rate was 1d + 3d registration fee. Confirmed Electro 3 stamps are very scarce on cover.
½d emerald with Cracked Electro through Kangaroo's Face (Early State) [Pos 3L36] ACSC 63(3)l (SG 20 unlisted variety; not the 20e crack) being the right-hand unit in a horizontal pair, light large-part 'DOUGLAS PARK' (NSW) cds well clear of the variety, Cat $2000+. In this early state the crack mostly affects the Kangaroo's left ear, which is not yet joined to the oval above (although the oval is already noticeably thickened).
½d green with Cracked Electro through Lower-Left Corner [Pos 3L58] ACSC 63(3)o (SG 20 unlisted variety; not the 20e crack), well-centred, light corner CDS cancels well clear of the variety, Cat $1000.

1d red Smooth Paper Plate 4 with 'NY' of 'PENNY' Joined [Pos VIII/25] ACSC 71(4)o, neat 'RINGWOOD/ 18SE18/VIC' cds clear of the variety, characteristic irregular perfs, Cat $500. This flaw did not develop until July 1918, and is therefore scarce in red printings.
Smooth Paper 1d deep red complete strip of 12 from the base of Panes VII & VIII with 'CA' & 'JBC' Monogram strips of 3 ACSC 71(4)z & zb with 'RA' Joined, Kangaroo's Tongue Out & Run 'N' of 'ONE' (Second State) 71(4)j u & va, some perf separation at right hand magin, Cat $3500+ for two mounted monogram strips of 3 plus a significant premium for the complete strip.
