1½d red-brown Plate 3 complete sheet with listed variety ACSC 94(3)h, Three Plate Dots at upper-right & John Ash ('N' over 'EA') Imprint, unmounted, Cat $2400++ plus a significant premium for the variety & imprint. Ex Malcolm Gilbert & 'Anglo-Saxon': sold at the Prestige auction of 16.8.2008 for $730 (when Cat $1300++). [The ACSC states 'A' of 'ASH' in the imprint is damaged. This sheet suggests that the imprint was substituted].
