Set of four from top left corner of a printing sheet of twenty-five. Most of the remaining sheets have uneven and messy gum, as desribed in Dr. J. Velickovic cert. (no. 46/2001). New Slovenian parcel card accompanying heavy parcel of 16 Kg 500 gr, to an address in Sarajevo, value declared as 300K, additionally franked, at front, 20K purple (SG 106) of 1920 High Values, 50p on 15v (SG D 181B, 2horizontal pairs and horizontal strip of three at back), franking completed at back with 5p on 15v pale blue (SG D 178B), all of Postage Dues BUT USED AS POSTAGE, and finally 10p green (SG 15) and DIAGONALLY BISECTED 50p blue (SG 157) of New Currency issue of 1920, tied by six strikes of "JANJA, 28.II.21", at back "SARAJEVO 1/3/ 5.III.21" (both cancellers modified from old Bosnian device). 1927, an old 16v SHS Slovenia COD parcel card with "Chainbreakers" issue, the card was uprated by the Post Office prior to use to make up the correct new price of the parcel card (originally showing the old SHS format), accompanying a parcel of 4 kg., COD value 266D, to an address in village near OBRENOVAC, additional charges worked out as 13.50D (weight -2nd band: 10D, COD - 4th band: 3D and Avis: 0.50D, tariff from 01.11.26-30.09.27) and paid with 5D brown (SG 202) of "De La Rue" definitives, 50(p) sepia (SG 210) and 8D grey-brown (SG 206) of 1926 King Alexander definitives, tied by three "UZDIN"; 23.V.27", with "UZDIN/832" parcel label and orange triangular "REMBOURSEMENT" label alongside, at back "OBRENOVAC. OBRENOVATZ, 25.5.27" arrival and similar distributing PM (28.5.27) when parcel was paid for and collected. Lovely "mixed" franking and very late usage of an old "transitional period" form. (Image)
