John Ineson Scout Collection: 1928 (May 29) cover sent by Baden-Powell to his colleague from the Mafking Siege, Col. Courtney Vyvyan, from his home in Pax Hill near Bentley, Hampshire, franked by three K.G.V 1/2d. stamps with perfin “BSA”. Perfins were used at the Scout Headquarters in London from 1912 till 1928 when a meter machine was installed. Stocks of these stamps continued to be used by the Chief Scout from his home and while he was on tour. Photo. (Image1)
