1934 (16 Nov) cover with "Missio Independes de Karafuto (Japonia)" franked with 2s green, tied by Toyohara (Yuzhno-Sakhalin) cds and sent to USA, with return address of "Toyohara, Tenshu Kokyokai Japan-Karafuto", fine and scarce usage (The 1905 Treaty of Portsmouth awarded the southern half of the Sakhalin Island to Japan. The city of Vladimirovka was renamed Toyohara, and was the prefect capital of the Japanese Karafuto Prefecture.
