ADEN: 1880s cover from India "p Teheran" with 1a brown strip of 3 tied by very fine strikes of the 'BOMBAY W/ DEC:5 - W/7' duplex of JUN:14 (no year), 26mm 'SEA/POST OFFICE/ D ' transit of the same date & 24mm 'ADEN/JUN:22' arrival b/s, faint discolouration & flap removed still unusually fine for this correspondence.

ADEN: Sheikh Othman quartet 1915 cover to Sussex with 'I.E.F.' Overprint on 2a6p tied by Indian-pattern 'FPO/No 324/5DE15' cds & IEF Censor 7 cachet in red, very fine; 1915 & 1916 stampless Field Service covers to Bombay with fine or poor No 324 backstamps, some aging, censored by different officers; and 1925 cover to Aden with India ½a pair tied by light but obvious 'SHEIKH OTHMAN' cds, opened a bit roughly. [Sheikh Othman was the main water supply for Aden. The Turks captured it on 7.7.1915. It was re-taken by the British two weeks later & Army HQ established there]  (4)
