Group of 142 India States Revenue Stamps, mounted on 20 quadrille pages, all appearing to be Court Fee revenue stamps, from 44 different states (primarily from Feudatory States). All the stamps have been identified and catalogued years ago by the owner using a Koppel & Manners Fiscal Foundation of New York book, noting stamps generally ranging from $5 to $20, with a few cataloguing $50 and up. An interesting group which would serve as a fine basis for a specialized collection. Owner's catalogue value for the lot totals $3,219. Online photos show a sampling. We note a few small faults including some soiling. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
