1899 (Dec 25) ¼a Postcard franked ¼a + ½a pair from Calcutta to Scotland with message "Calcutta, 25th December 1898, wishing you a Happy Christmas on the first day of the Imperial Penny (anna) Postage", minor corner creasing; and 1910 pictorial cover "KING EDWARD'S CHERISHED MEMORY TOMMY WILL EVERMORE REVERE" depicting a soldier under a Union Jack, "1901-1910" within a black border around the stamp, posted within India franked 1a. 1887 Perforated pane (12x10) of gummed paper, a ½a blue-green stamp applied at each corner, a marginal line handpainted around the sheet in a matching blue-green, dated "26 APR 87", punch holes to lower margins, a little creased at left. From the De La Rue archives, produced to show the new marginal rules to panes.

1891 1r Stamp size essay superbly handpainted in pale and dark green, red and Chinese white with perforations drawn in pencil, on tracing paper mounted on card, similar to the adopted design but with the wording at the sides, dated "MAY 25 / 91", 72x84mm. Surface faults to the 1911 3p and 1a and 1926 25r, otherwise mainly fine.
