1882 3a Orange Numeral, Perforated 14 x 13½, with "Small 3", a mint block of 30 hinged onto a quadrille page with "double 3" variety in positions 65 and 70 (first is hinged and second is NH, with a Facit catalogue value of 4,000 SEK for both), plus a few other varieties not listed. The block is quite fresh and very fine (with separation in several places) and holds 14 lightly hinged stamps and 16 never hinged stamps (Scott basic c.v. for this block is $3,675). Includes another (separated) block of 80 with sheet margin on three sides, which includes 10 hinged stamps and 70 NH but also 15 with tone spots, leaving 56 NH and sound stamps. This multiple is mostly fine centered and Scott catalogue value (for the 55 sound NH stamps only) is $9,625. A useful group for the specialist or dealer. (Image)

Collection / Accumulation of Pre-World War II Used Iceland, Collected Mostly for Postmarks, but includes a few mint issues, all displayed on 21 stock pages, with many hundreds of stamps, starting with 2 pages of the 1911-12 embossed definitives, followed by a good duplication of the 1920 Christian X Scott #120 cancelled with boxed "Tollur" revenue cancel (c.v. $9.50 each as such, for a total of $1,463), a page full of the 1939-45 Statue issues, and the rest of the pages are crammed with various issues on and off paper, many showing town postmarks, with singles, pairs and multiples. A spot check indicated just a few better items including Scott #s 142 (x33, c.v. $363 total, revenue cancels), 175 (x54, $270 total, revenue cancels), B6 (x6, $180 total), O70 (x36, $864 total), also noting bridge cancel types, revenue cancels, town cancels, etc., many having clear strikes, leaving potential finds to the dedicated collector. Collection of Mint and Used Iceland, 1873-2010, with roughly 1,200 stamps in a well organized stockbook. The collection begins with roughly 500 mint stamps ranging from Scott #2/828, along with selections of semi-postals, airmails, and officials. A cursory check revealed better items including Scott #s (using 2023 values) 22-29 (m.h., c.v. $208 total), 67-68 (m.h., $115 total), 137-138 (n.h., $310 total), 147-148 (m.h., $145 total), C4-C8 (n.h., $550 total), along with stamps, sets, and partial sets cataloguing from $20 to $60 and up. The collection continues with roughly 700 used stamps ranging from Scott #1/1202, along with selections of semi-postals, airmails and officials. A few of the better stamps include 71-83 ($170 total), 99-107 ($187 total), 144-150 ($195 total), with stamps, sets and partial sets cataloguing $10 and up, including C9 ($160), C15-20 ($88 total). Owner's Scott 2014 catalogue value is in excess of $15,000. Online photos show a sampling. We note a few small faults with a few of the early stamps, including hinge remnants.
