1873/1940, a splendid mint collection on album pages, appears to be complete (Michel main cat.numbers) incl. all better stamps from 1st issue, definitive sets, better overprints (partly signed), 1930 Allthing, airmails incl. 1933 Hopflug signed Dr.Debo BPP resp. 1904, Official Reprints for the UPU in Berne, the complete set of 18 unoverprinted stamps with watermark "New Crown", bright colours and well perforated, mint never hinged, without signature (10a. rose shows a distinctive flaw "damaged frame line at right"). Certificate Danske Filatelisters Provningsudvalg/Grönlund (1960). Extremely rare set, especially in that outstanding pristine quality, only 104 sets do exist. (Image)

1903 Registered cover from Reykjavik to Red Bud, Ill., U.S.A. via Glasgow, Edinburgh and New York, franked "Í GILDI" optd. 6a., 10a. and 25a. in combination with 1902 'Christian' 3a. pair, 4a. and 5a., all tied "REYKJAVIK 24.7.1903" c.d.s., Reg. h/s alongside, Glasgow landing datestamp and further transit datestamps on the reverse, with minor imperfections (cover lightly toned and with few short tears) but still good - an attractive and scarce six-colour mixed franking.
