1934 (7 Jan) Rome to Buenos Flight, picture postcard franked with 3L green, with appropriate first flight cachet, Buenos Aires arrival cds, returned back to Italy, with 1.75L added in Firenze, minor corner mount remnants, signed Diena (The Rome-Buenos Aires mail flight, Francesco Lombardi, Branco Mazzotti and three others were attempting an experimental mail-carrying flight from Rome to Buenos Aires in three days, crashed on a beach twelve miles south of Fortaleza, Brazil, after having made a fine Atlantic crossing in fourteen hours. The plane was carrying 200 lbs of mail and copies of a souvenir edition of a newspaper, flew to Dakar, Senegal, by way of Casablanca, Agadir and Thies.
