1948 New Year issue, immense specialised collection on stock pages in thick deluxe Lighthouse binder. Nearly complete for listed varieties from tabs to gutters and “heart of sheets” sets, to perfs partly omitted, to printing vars, to all kinds of FDCs (incl. vert. gutter pair FDC rated “R” by Bale), and commercial covers (about 70 covers in all), the entire property comprising the perfect start for a large exhibit of this issue. Some items accompanied by expert certs. We have totalled the Bale catalogue value for what is listed, and this comes to over US$60’000 plus uncounted such as single essay (not tab) from unique sheet of 100 (Bale ESA.-I var., not included in cat. value).
