1949-51 Issues, the balance of the main Allan Belinkoff collection of commemoratives in one thick volume, the principle being to acquire singles (tabs), blocks of tabs and plate blocks, with some plate varieties (incl. on cover) and listed tete-beche/gutter multiples, a huge variety of FDCs incl. some steeply catalogued by Bale, with duplication (incl. of better items) throughout. As this period, after the Doar Ivri issues, is rather popular, the lot represents a major achievement for its buyer, as it readily lends itself to further subdivision and sale. A wonderful opportunity loaded with scarce items, total Bale cat. value must approach US$12’750 (partly on the basis of the rare FDCs) and is in excellent quality throughout!
