BRANCH), SOLID/HOLLOW "STARS", & "L" + "G:P" MARKS; 1785-1829 covers all with postal rate changes authorised by handstruck London "Crown" marks; 1785 fancy red types with fair "HAVERFORD/WEST", 1788/9 pair with claret-brown types (with 67 BRACKLEY or WOBURN), 1814 fine fancy red Foreign Branch type on EL ex "BASEL" (d.s.), and 1815/29 lot (6) with the plainer red types. Plus 1795/6 pair with v. fine scarce 'solid star' marks (rates unchanged - checking for franking?), 9 covers with hollow star types (weight checks? - rates unchanged), and unusual 1834/7 pair with mainly v. fine strikes in red of both "L" in circle and "G:P" marks on each. Scarce and attractive lot; mainly v., fine strikes. Ideal for further expansion and study.
