Red silk ribbon sash incorporating 32 linked quarter dollars on front (34x2½''), to be worn across the chest, these coins ceased to legal tender once Hawaii became a territory, and some that were not redeemed were made into jewelry and other sentimental items to preserve the memory of the monarchy; one link between coins separated, F.-V.F.
