1840 1d. black, lettered T-A, used within Scotland on entire from Hawick to Edinburgh, tied by MC in black, and on the reverse with "HAWICK/6 AP/1841" c.d.s. and "APR/7/1841" arrival datestamp. The stamp of bright colour, lightly touched design at lower left with complete margins else, a vert. cover fold slightly affecting the stamp. Nevertheless an attractive cover with a Penny Black used in Scotland. (Image)
