Great Britain, (Ocean Penny Postage) Ocean Penny Postage, the Schrader design showing shorter banner and imprint at lower left (state 4), on cover franked with 1854, 1d red brown tied by "251" barred oval handstamp, reverse with clear blue "St. German, Sp 28, 1857" origin and Liskeard receiving cds's, Extremely Fine, a magnificent example of this very rare Ocean Penny Postage design. SG No. 17  Estimate $1,500 - 2,000. According to "British Pictorial Envelopes of the 19th Century" by Bodily, Jarvis & Hahn, this design is the rarest of the series with only a very few being recorded. $0 (Image)
