GB 1971-81 Commems colln of FU sets in blocks of 4 ex FDCs - with pictorial/sponsored cancels in 56 packets. Variable quantities in each packet, indicated with SG cat nos. Over 500 sets in blocks of 4 on/off piece! SG 890-1174 range. High cv.

GB 1919 WWI "H.M Forces Overseas (In Uniform) Combined Leave & Railway Ticket 3rd Class", return ticket, "To France", ex Victoria Station, London. Used. Also printed soldier's Leave Pass (Jan-Feb 1919). Used (2 items). Fair condition (creases etc).

GB 1941 WWII reg'd airmail cover to NZ (GV1 5½d regd envelope, with added adhesives 1/- x 4, 2½d, 1d, - total postage 4/9d). Endorsed "Via North Atlantic & Transpacific Air Services" (ie: sent the long way round). Stamps canc Horfield/Bristol cds 12 SP 41. High rate. Fine.

GB-Malaya 1941 WWII commercial air cover to Penang, Malaya, with high franking of 2 x 5/- red GVI & Arms SG 477 canc Bedford machine d/s 17 Oct 1941 (date unclear). Typed endorsement "Per North Atlantic Transpacific Air Services". Penang receipt cds b/s 12 NO 41 (just a month before the Japanese occupation of Penang, 19/12/41). Creasing & edge wear, but a scarce temporary air rate.

GB 1952 BOAC Comet London-Johannesburg illustrated FFC. Also 1959 London-Sydney illustrated FFC.

1675 folded entire, addressed "For the Worshipful John Morris Esq. at his house in the Old Jewry in London" (letter from John Tomkins). With Bishop mark ("AP" over "2" [?] in bisected circle). Fine wax seal (initials). Distinctive handwriting. Light overall soiling but in good condition for its age (almost 350 years old!) This type of Bishop mark cat £125 by Whitney (1997).

1747 entire addressed to "Mr John Turnpenny, merchant in Houndsditch, London". With large m/s "4" (black) (=4d to pay). On back, clear Bishop mark "11" over "DE" in bisected circle, & wax seal showing 2 anchors. Contents incl copies of 2 letters to the Navy Board. Light edge soiling but good condition for its age.

c1800s "blind" embossed stamp duty revenue impressions: 5 cutouts from documents, incl with adjacent printed "London Delivered [crown] 11.5.74", another with GIII REX"(King George III), & 3 on grey-blue paper. On old album page.

1802 wrapper to Aylesbury, canc good (partly unclear) "BECONSFIELD/26" mileage mark (cat £30 by Whitney, 1997). Large black m/s "6" (6d to pay). Clean.
