The degree of completion is extraordinary, missing only the Machin issues (a separate lot in this sale), and the first Castles. Included are numerous Gibbons listed varieties, including watermark inverted and sideways, plus the early Wilding phosphor and phosphor-graphite issues, all the commemoratives and miniature sheets, most postage dues and nearly all regionals. Apparently never hinged throughout, excepting only the D.L.R. 1958 Castles are lightly hinged. A wonderful lot for the serious collector, all the work is done and the degree of completion - and quality - are both phenomenal. Condition is generally Fine to Very Fine or better.
