Jones to his wife in Raleigh; light toning affecting stamp just a bit, otherwise Fine to Very Fine, the war-time diary of John Beauchamp Jones, a mature, keenly observant clerk in the Confederate War Department, was published in 1866 as A Rebel War Clerk's Diary.
