N. Viet Nam 374, 573-4, 1965 & 1970 stamps tied to PPC, 1974 usage to East Germany. Real photo PPC depicts AFC William H. Robinson on POW date Sept. 20, 1965 when his rescue helicopter was shot down over N. Viet Nam, w/his guard. He and his co-crewman ATC Arthur Black share the record for the longest held American POW's in history, being repatriated on Feb. 27, 1973. One of the stamps used shows an American warplane being shot down, which ties together since they were trying to rescue a pilot of an F-105D who had been shot down. The ppc erroneously lists him as William H. Robinson, although his middle name is Andrew. Scarce Viet Nam War propaganda item (Image)
