1922 BERLIN REGISTERED INFLATION RATE, a 3m (300pf) inflation franking pays the 100pf local letter rate + 200pf registration fee on a drop letter dated AUG11-1922, the letter was redirected to Prague-Czech on AUG 14th requiring the special concession 450ph letter rate (the UPU rate was 600pf), this was 350pf short paid and 10 postage due stamps applied, redirected back to Berlin on AUG 29th thus voiding the postage due claim and noting 2 of the stamps were subsequently lost in transit, a scarce Hungary-Czech Axis rate with lots of docketed directives and labels on back, F-VF est ($100+US) (Image)
