FEZZAN & GHADAMES: Quarto-size page with fine to very fine strikes of all the locally-produced postal markings used at Sebha including the 'RF o5o/FEZZAN'-in-circle & two-line 'RF 1 Fr/FEZZAN' provisional handstamps used for SG 13-15, certified as genuine at lower-right by "Agent Postal in Fezzan/(signature)' over a second strike of the 'RF SEBHA/30JUIN1943/FEZZAN' cds. Unsightly "sticky tape" reinforcing but an important postal artefact.

FEZZAN & GHADAMES: 1943 (June 12) commercial airmail cover to "Yaounde/Cameroun" endorsed "Via Alger" with Overprints on Libya '3 frs' on 20c SG 6, '5 frs' on 50c SG 7 and 'RF 1Fr/FEZZAN' on 25c SG 14 (Cat £450) - and another stamp removed or fallen off - tied by poor strikes of the locally produced 'RF SEBHA/12JUIN1943/FEZZAN' cds, boxed 'PAR AVION' handstamp across Italian-pattern black/white 'SEBHA' R label, sent via Cairo and inspected three times with Egyptian label & hexagonal censor cachet in violet, South African label & Arms 'B' cachet on the reverse, & French label with 'OUVERT/PAR/LAUTORITE MILITAIRE' cachet probably applied at the same time as 'DOUALA/25AOU43/CHARGEMENTS' b/s alongside 'YAOUNDE/27AOU43/CAMEROUN' arrival cds, the labels on the face lifted to display the stamps, toning & a bit grubby but a rare inter-colony cover sent by the very long "scenic route", stamps Cat £590.
