#28, 1862-71 80c Rose, strip of seven on front, with an additional single on reverse, of February 20, 1864 entire letter from Paris to Lima, Peru, tied by "star" cancel on dispatch, showing c.d.s. at base, "Voie de Panama" cachet denoting the transit through the Isthmus, farmed "P.P." in red, oval "Conduccion/Del Cartero/Gratis", charged "4" on arrival, with Lima c.d.s. on back, overfranked by 40c for six-times the single rate via Panama to the South-American Pacific Coast, faint horizontal crease at top slightly affecting the franking, a very rare multiple on cover, of great visual impact.
