Small collection predominantly used including a range of classics in quite variable condition from 1849 Ceres 20c black x3, 1852-61 Napoleon imperf used group including 5c x5, 20c x20 and 80c x6 with annotated shades & varieties, 1862 Napoleon perf used group plus 2c brown & 5c green unused with small-part original gum, 1869 Napoleon 5fr (small thin; annotated "reperforated"), lots of Peace & Commerce, Allegory, Sower & Merson issues, also 1937 Pipex M/S CTO, Postage Dues imperf 15c black, 25c black & 60c blue plus 1894 1fr red-brown, etc, some postmark interest including numerals, TPOs, etc including an old-time write-up of the various types, condition quite mixed but many are fine to very fine. 1928 'Ile de France' Ship to Shore Airmail Surcharges '10 FR' on 1fr50c Pasteur Yvert PA4 (Michel 231; SG 465), well centred, guarantee handstamp, Cat €14,000 (£15,000). Dr G Fulpius (1948) & Jean-Francois Brun (2004) Certificates. One of the great Airmail Rarities of the World. [Only 900 were printed, of which the majority were used. Much better centred than the mint example sold at our auction of 26.3.2021 for $7375]

Strated only 17 covers flown: a similar cover, addressed & signed by Costes, sold at auction in 2008 for €1735.
