(Dakota Territory) Fort Laramie, Daka., Nov 30, 67. Intensely bold cds and 1861, 3¢ rose tied by equally bold target killer on cover to New York City, originally legal size and reduced on three sides (3½x6¼" actual size), Very Fine appearance, a desirable fort postmark with year date from the year before Wyoming Territory was created.

The Fort Laramie Post Office was transferred from the original Idaho Territory to a revised Dakota Territory when Montana Territory was created in 1864.
