1866-1893 40p Coat of Arms Group of 80 used singles, all displayed on a two-sided stock page. We note that many of the stamps have c.d.s. cancels, many of which are dated and legible. We also note a good variety of shades and perforation types, which makes this a great lot for the specialist. Most have one or more perf tooth faults, still a very useful and rarely offered lot. The Facit Specialized catalogue lists over 20 varieties for this value, all stamps are scanned online. Catalogue value is for all least expensive varieties only, and for all sound stamps. (Image)

A spot check indicated a few used booklet panes, along with a small percentage (roughly 5%), of the booklets from Aland. Duplication up to 10 each in some cases. Collection of Mostly Used Finland, 1866 to 1980s, in black mounts on album pages, this is a specialized collection with many varieties not listed in Scott (owner used Facit and Norma catalogues numbers). Starts off with 7 first Coat of Arms issues, noting an unused Scott #8 (c.v. $600), followed by pages showing a very specialized collection of the 1875-1881 issue with many useful items such as Scott #s 16 (x3 different, $400 minimum each), 24 (x2, $120 each), 29e ($250), same for the 1889-1892 issues, the 1891 to 1916 Imperial Arms of Russia issues, the 1917-30 Arms of the Republic issues noting 102a ($450). the 1930-46 definitive issues, 1954-59 definitives (incl. booklet multiples) and others, plus good back of the book including Parcel stamps set (Q1-Q5, $75), the first two Bus stamp issues (with shades, Q6-Q13, $50+), group of Military stamps as well as 2 pages of Eastern Karelia occupation stamps. There are many, many hundreds of stamps here, the majority collected for their postmarks, noting circular town postmarks (many different types), straightline town postmarks, a few ship cancels, hundreds of cork cancels, boxed and special cancels, and much more. We note a nice selection of Stockholm postmarks, 7 mint stamps, many high values (several cataloguing over $100 in Scott, probably much more in Facit, if the specialized postmarks were valued) to name only a portion of what can be found here.
