Falkland Islands: 1891-1902 21/2d. very pale chalky ultramarine, May 1891 printing, from the single Bradbury Wilkinson archive sheets of sixty, unused with some traces of gum, fine. Heijtz certificate (2013) SH 8a. The archive sheets of each value were the only survivors from the first printing, the stamps issued to the islands being ruined as a result of the collision of the “Neko” with British steamer “Stancliff” in fog north of Ushant on July 21 1891.
