Falkland Islands: 1982 Conflict, an extensive collection in three cartons with covers, contemporary photos and literature with a range of books and articles, British Forces incl. F.P.O. and London Maritime cancellations, some during Conflict period, mainly to collectors incl. Daynes, Patka, Sheldrake but with commercial from H.M.S. Intrepid, early F.P.O. 141, returned cover addressed to casualty on R.F.A. Tidespring and other post-Conflict returned mail, later commemorative incl. “The Falklands Collection” and “Falklands Task Force”, autographed covers incl. Rex Hunt, Douglas Hurd, John Nott, Argentine Forces incl. later use of Correo Naval labels, type I cachet on cover to Buenos Aires bearing Shipwrecks 5p. crossed by biro strokes, B.A.T. registered cover from Rothera Base and bogus cover, type II cachet on commercial and philatelic envelopes, other unusual items incl. Posts & Telecommunications dated cachet (June 15) tying Mailships 1p. and 2p. to unaddressed cover, ephemera incl. 1982 (June) £1 banknote and an interesting group of documents and letters taken from official archives in Stanley. A most interesting accumulation.
