1923 (10 May) survey flight of Latecoere planes cover to Casablanca, with Mayor of Dakar seal imprint, and arrival pmk (22 May) on back. In 1923, "Flight" magazine reported: "Projected Transatlantic Air Line. Three airplanes belonging to the Lignes Aeriennes Latecoeres left Casablanca for Dakar, a distance of 1,600 miles, at dawn on May 3. They reached Agadir during the day, and were due at Dakar the following night. This flight is undertaken with a view to the ultimate opening of a regular mail service between France and South America."
