RW5, ROLAND CLARK LOT OF (3) COPPER PLATE ETCHINGS, image area of each 5½" x 3½" and sba Roland Clark (deceased). These were reportedly study drawings before creating the RW5 design: one with a pair of mallards coming in for a landing, one with four Canada Geese in flight and one with five Pintails. The pintails won and a less "busy" two pintail design was created. All beautiful, restoration/conservation work provided to all three prints in 2008. Lot also includes an RW5 Top PNS single, F-VF NH, with a color remarque added by artist Ken Michaelsen (RW46, deceased), which is an exact replica of the RW5, in vibrant, life-like color. All of this mounted in 17" x 24" blackened cherry wood frame with baby blue over cornflower blue double matting (frame with minor dings). Very beautiful and historical piece! (Image)
