1931 Suez acceptance, unaddressed picture postcard (LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin), franked with 50M ("1951" error) lower right sheet corner margin single canceled 11 Apr 31 Cairo, with three additional cancels (Suez, Alexandria and Port Said) produced by the Egyptian Post Office for the visit of the Airship in 1931. This is probably a souvenir card presented to one of the Graf Zeppelin's officers or passengers, v.f. An extremely rare Zeppelin item from Egypt, one of a few known with Suez postmark (a 10 April 1931 Suez Graf Zeppelin cover was last sold at Cherrystone Fred Blau collection, March 2020, price realized $25,300 including 15% buyer's commission) (Image)
