1839-42 TAYLOR CORRESPONDENCE WITH INTERESTING CONTENTS & METHOD OF PAYING POSTAGE: 1839 (May) EL from W Taylor on board HMS Benbow Portsmouth and another dated June 1840 to London. Both with stitch holes on the outside for a 1d to pay the cost of sending a sailors letter. 1840 Dec EL from the Accident ward of Liverpool infirmary from W.Taylor to London with ms "refused to be taken in at/Mr Smith's". 15 May 1842 EL (prepaid 1d at Sheerness) and another to his parents asking them to see him on board the hulk Heebe.
