1847, der wohl früheste bekannte Brief aus diesem Gebiet und von historischer Bedeutung: vollständiger Faltbrief vom Kap Bimbia datiert "Jubilee, Bimbia Feb. 19th 1847" vom baptistischen Missionar Joseph Merrick nach Worstead/Norfolk, England mit hs. Schiffsbrieftaxierung "8" und Ra. 2 "Holyhead / Shipletter", Durchgangsstempel Oswestry, London und Norwich. Die Situation des Missionars wird auf drei engbechriebenen Seiten dargestellt, u. a.
