These and the following two Lots are very scarce groups in very fine to superb condition.

Adelaide: Mostly pre-1895 Adelaide postmarks with an array of circle-in-bars, datestamp & duplex types, one with '5'-in-circle, a couple of Ship Mail Rooms & several early machines, mostly on local entires/outers or covers with a good range of frankings including London Printings 2d x2 (one a front only but very early usage JA16/1855), Adelaide Printings Imperf 2d blood-red x3 & 2d orange-red x3, Surcharges & 'O.S.' overprints, one to Port Lincoln with large 'P' handstamp, several with 'TOO-LATE' handstamp, many others to GB, the best item may be an 1862 entire insurance policy sent unsealed & endorsed "Book packet only/...", condition rather mixed but many are fine to very fine and/or attractive. Dingabledinga: squared-circle 'DINGLEBADINGA/NO1/13/S.A' largely very fine strike tying 1d Kangaroo to PPC to Somersetshire. Rated RRR. PO 2.7.1904; RO -.1.1910; PO mid-1912; RO 1.12.1917; PO 1.7.1927; TO 1.1.1931; PO 1.12.1949; closed 31.10.1952.
Echunga: Mordan-type 'ECHUNGA/SP18/1854/ =SOUTH-AUSTRALIA=' cds (rated RRRR) watery but legible complete strike on large-part outer to the Inspector-in-Chief of Main Roads, GPO arrival backstamp of SP19/1854 & very fine ' A /PAID/1' handstamp in red. Echunga (2) 1.10.1852. Ex Don Pearce.
Oaklands: manuscript "Oakland/27.9.37" tying KGV 2d red to cover to "The Mail Office/Adelaide", light but obvious boxed 'RECEIVED/...37/NEWS LIMITED' cachet on the reverse. Not recorded in the Handbook.
Red Hill: framed 'RED HILL/DE31/78/S.A' cds on cover with De La Rue Perf 10 2d tied by light but clear '313' numeral (rated RRR), largely very fine framed 'RAILWAY/ 4 /DE31/78/S-A' transit & faint Salisbury arrival backstamps. Ex Don Pearce.
