French Colonies Postmarks on New South Wales stamps New Hebrides 'NOUVELLE [HEBRIDES]/30/JAN/9[?]/[?]' part-strike of the French Post Office cds on 2½d Allegorical, also 'NEW HEBRIDES/DE30/1892/VILA' superb almost-complete strike on QV ½d grey 'Halfpenny' overprint and another part-strike on 2d Emu, plus New Caledonia 'NLLE CALEDON[IE]/19/SEPT/88/NOUM[EA]' on De La Rue 1d red. A very scarce group.

Albany: 'A.L.'-in-Bars four poor to almost fine strikes on registered cover to Canada with 'ALBANY/NO20/91/-W.A=' cds at L/R & 'R'-in-cogwheel at U/L, London transit d/s of 19DE91 & 'BELLEVILLE ONT/JA8/92/CANADA' arrival b/s; plus a cover from the same writer but to Connecticut with superb strikes of 'ALBANY/NO21/1891/-WESTERN AUSTRALIA - A ' duplex, being the very next day; both a little aged. Dongara: Unframed 'DONGARRA/JA17/1878/=WESTERN-AUSTRALIA=' largely very fine alongside 2d chrome-yellow tied by superb 15-bar '15'. A lovely piece. Ex Brian Pope. [Only two confirmed ties have been recorded on cover]
NALLAN: 'NALLAN/13JUN14/WESTN AUSTRALIA' largely very fine complete strike on Kangaroos 1d red block of 4 with a large-part strike alongside. Recorded 1912-15 only. The illustration in PMI is incomplete; this strike confirms the base inscription as 'WESTN ...'. PO 16.3.1908; RO 20.5.1909; PO 11.11.1912; RO 1918; closed 1928.
