Confederacy, United States 1857 3¢ Dull Red, Used in Confederate States, two singles (double weight) tied together on cover by the Richmond, Va./May 22, 1861 cds, addressed to Miss Mary M. McGuire Care of Dr. Wm McGuire, Berryville Clark Co, Va., upper left corner struck with "Winchester, Va./May 30, 1861" double circle postmark, little edge toning at the right and adhesives with small flaws, otherwise Very Fine. Estimate  $150 - 200. Berryville is just east of Winchester in the adjacent county. Either the cover was accidentally missent to Winchester or transmitted Winchester and the postmark applied as a transit mark. $0 (Image)
