Confederacy, Tallahassee, Fla Dec 21, usual partial strike of cds with matching "Paid 10" handstamp on cover with military address to Mr. W. A. Bryant Care Maj Routh, Lake City, Fla.; light soiling and edge wear, F.-V.F. Estimate  $100 - 150. William A. Bryant enlisted 5/1/1861 as a Private in Co A 3rd Fla Inf. During the course of his service, he was detailed several times to the Quartermaster's Department. Major Horatio S. Routh was the Quartermaster Officer on the staff of CSA Brig-Gen John K. Jackson who at this time was in command of the Department of Florida. Private Bryant surrendered at Lake City on May 18, 1865. $0 (Image)
