Lomax, 3rd Regt. Ala. Volunteers, Norfolk, Virginia", small margin tear (not mentioned on accompanying 2000 P.S.E. cert.), Extremely Fine, ex-Hall, Shenfield, illustrated in the Walske, Trepel Book. Scott No. 1c Estimate $2,000 - 3,000. An extremely rare express usage with Confederate postage prepaid, carried outside the mails to Colonel Lomax's regiment in proximity to Norfolk.
