Va., original letter enclosed and datelined "Poplar Grove May 15th 1861", it is between friends and concerns a will and other business matters but does mention the sale of a Negro woman and boy for $1,100, Very Fine, a scarce use from far western (West) Virginia. Scott No. U27 Estimate $500 - 750. Point Pleasant is in Mason County that would later be incorporated into the Union State of West Virginia in 1863.
