Nov 17" cds and addressed to Miss Julia Montgomery at Americus Ga., original 1864 letter datelined "Camp Capitol Square, Milledgeville, Nov 17th 1864" with some interesting content "…I went to Macon yesterday in charge of a guard with some escaped Yankee prisoners…the drum has beaten and I must go.", soldier was probably from Georgia State Militia guarding the State Capitol at Milledgeville, Extremely Fine, ex-Judd.
