Confederacy, Manassas, Ga./May 14, 1863. Blue cds on cover to Vicksburg with matching "Paid 10" in handstamp, endorsed "40th Ga. Reg't., Bartow's Brig." at bottom left, Very Fine. Estimate  $150 - 200. After General Lewis Cass voiced anti-South sentiments, the Georgia General Assembly changed the name of the town, Cassville to Manassas and the name of the county from Cass to Bartow in honor of Colonel Francis S.
