Confederacy, Macon, Ga., 1861, 5¢ black on yellow, Horizontal Pair. Large margins to just touch floral ornament tips at left & bottom, dark shade on fresh paper, tied by two strikes of clear "Macon Ga./Aug. 7" (1861) double circle postmark on Patriotic cover showing 7-Star Flag design (Dietz F7-12) in red, white & blue, cover addressed to Prince Edward C.H., Va., trivial flap tear, Extremely Fine. Scott No. 53X3  Estimate $10,000 - 15,000. One of two recorded examples of the Macon floral-border provisional used on a Patriotic cover.
