Confederacy, Gourdins, S.C., Sept 27, manuscript postmark with matching pen strokes on 1863 10¢ blue, on yellow cover addressed to Caven's Old Field Post, Spartanburg County, S.C.; flap tears and edge wear, F.-V.F. Scott No. 12  Estimate $100 - 150. Gourdins was a station on the North East Railroad in Williamsburg District. The post office there was discontinued by the U.S. in 1860 and the Confederate Post Office re-established it in 1863. This is the only recorded cover and the listing cover. $0 (Image)
