Aug 24, clear strike of circular postmark with manuscript dating, matching "Paid" handstamp and manuscript "5" rating (Dietz type II) on 1861 cover from the Rives Correspondence addressed to Mrs. Alfred L. Rives Care of James B. Macmurdo Esq, Richmond, Virginia, 1861 docketing at left indicates that the letter was from "Mamma."; no flap, Very Fine. Estimate  $100 - 150. Alfred L.
