Drayton, U.S. Navy, Philadelphia; missing flap and couple small top edge flaws, F.-V.F., This is the last day the U.S. Post Office operated in South Carolina as it seceded from the Union on the following day.. Estimate  $300 - 400. Although the original letter is not here, this was sent from Tom Drayton to his brother Percival, who was a unionist who stayed in the U.S. Navy throughout the War.
